Mike Watson

This will be Mike’s third summer as the Director of the Vaughan Camp.

Mike played competitive baseball for 19 years. He was a part of the Vaughan Vikings team in 2002 that won the first AAA OBA provincials in Viking history. In high school, Mike was the team captain of the St. Joan of Arc Thunder Baseball Team for three years. Mike has continued to play rep baseball at the Senior level for the Vikings where he was selected as a league All-Star for the three seasons he played (2013, 2014, 2015).

Mike now continues his passion for the game through coaching, training and umpiring: He is a Level 2 Umpire for Baseball Ontario since 2004; and he specializes in youth player development where he has been training and instructing kids in baseball for over 7 years, including a stint as an instructor at “Jose Bautista Pro Camp” in 2013, and an assistant coach of the 18U Ontario Athletics Elite Team. Mike devotes a lot of his time to running team practices, private lessons, and clinics in the Vaughan community.

Mike has a ton of experience working with children in both a baseball and camp setting, and is an amazing role model and instructor.
