The summer of 2020 is a very special summer for FOD Baseball Camp, as we will be celebrating a milestone 10 year anniversary! Over the past 10 years we have grown so much as an organization. From a small, three week summer camp in Thornhill in 2011, we now have 3 full time day camp locations, one part time Elite camp location, and the prospect of adding two new locations for 2020. Since our inauguration year in 2011, we have also been running year round training clinics, and have trained many different teams from all over the Greater Toronto Area! To date we have had over 4700 registrations.
This year, in 2020, we are celebrating 10 years of exciting baseball programming, with an incredible 10-week summer! For the first time ever, the summer will be 10 weeks long: 10 weeks for our 10th year! (Coincidence? We don’t think so)! We are also celebrating by adding an additional special event week. Each year our Wiffle Baseball Tournament Special Event Week, bringing all of our camp locations together, is always the highlight of the summer. This year, in July we are adding a special event, the first ever Baseball Olympics. We will now have a special event week in July and one in August. We will also be celebrating this exciting milestone summer by adding some contests, giveaways, special prizes and special discount codes! Stay tuned for more information, and keep checking our news page and social media pages for more information.
BASEBALL OLYMPICS: In July (the session of July 13-17) take part in our first ever “Baseball Olympics” bringing all of our camp sites together. Aurora will host the Thornhill and Vaughan camps where over 100 of our campers will compete in a wide variety of baseball competitions against each other in their age category. Bussing for this day will be provided. The special event will take place on Wednesday July 15. Campers will show their camp location pride and compete to win the baseball olympics for their location by earning gold, silver, and bronze medals for each competition. Which camp location will win the most medals? Which camper will win the most medals? This is going to be a day unlike any other at Field of Dreams, and one you won’t want to miss!
