What age group is Field of Dreams Baseball Camp for?
Our camps are open to children aged 5-16. We offer programs for all skill levels, from beginners to elite athletes.
Do I need previous baseball experience to attend?
No prior baseball experience is required! We have programs for players of all skill levels, including beginners. Our Rookie Ball Camp is specifically designed for less experienced players.
What are the different camp options?
We offer two main camp sections:
- Rookie Ball Camp (ages 5-10) – Perfect for beginners and less competitive players, focusing on the fundamentals of baseball like throwing, catching, hitting, and fielding through fun drills and games.
- High Performance Camp (ages 9-14) – For more competitive players (select, rep, or elite), this camp provides advanced skill development with expert coaching and challenging drills.
We realize that not every camper fits in one of these two sections. So we created a hybrid Group (ages 10-15) for older players who may not be competitive but still want to enjoy the game and develop their skills, we offer this hybrid option. This group combines elements from both Rookie Ball and High Performance camps in a supportive, skill-building environment tailored for non-competitive older players. Note: To ensure proper group placement, please provide as much information as possible about your child’s baseball experience during registration. This helps us create the best possible experience for every camper!
Additionally, we offer a Pro Camp for advanced players (ages 9-14) looking to train at an elite level, led by professional coaches, including Jaz Shergill
Where are your camps located?
Field of Dreams Baseball Camp is held at four locations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA):
- Thornhill/Vaughan
- Aurora
- Scarborough
- Caledon
We also offer various indoor programs throughout the year at select locations.
What are the camp hours?
Our standard camp hours are from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Extended hours are available from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM for an additional fee, giving parents more flexibility with drop-off and pick-up times.
Is the camp indoor or outdoor?
Field of Dreams Baseball Camp is a fully outdoor camp, and each location has a contingency plan in place for inclement weather to ensure the camp runs smoothly, rain or shine.
What is the Pro Camp?
Our Pro Camp is designed for players who are serious about taking their game to the next level. It is run by former professional and high-level college players, including Jaz Shergill. Pro Camp participants attend specialized training sessions in the morning, followed by fun activities and games in the afternoon. A half-day option is also available for those who prefer just the intense morning training. If you’re unsure whether Pro Camp is the right fit for your child, please reach out—we’re happy to help guide you in making the best choice
Are there any special activities at camp?
Yes! All campers participate in a variety of special activities, including modified games, weekly skills competitions, and our popular Wiffle Ball League, which adds extra fun and encourages friendly competition. Each week wraps up with an award ceremony to celebrate the campers’ achievements. Plus, we have a weekly pizza day—a favourite among campers
Is your camp just baseball?
Yes, and no! While we are a baseball-focused camp, with skill development as the main emphasis in the mornings, our afternoons offer a variety of activities tailored to each age group. For our younger players, afternoons are filled with modified games that put fun twists on baseball, like tennis baseball, soccer baseball, cricket baseball, football baseball, wiffle ball, and more. Each game reinforces baseball skills and fundamentals in a fresh, engaging way to keep campers excited, especially those joining us for multiple weeks. For our older and more competitive players, we ramp up the intensity with simulated baseball games, advanced twists on traditional baseball, and wiffle ball—a fast-paced game that gets players moving, thinking, and honing their skills. These varied activities ensure that all our campers have fun, stay engaged, and continue developing their skills throughout their time with us!
What is included in the camp fee?
The camp fee includes all baseball instruction, activities, equipment (except for gloves) and access to fun events like Wiffle Ball League and skills competitions. All campers also receive a camp t-shirt. Extended day options are available for an additional fee.
What’s the camper-to-instructor ratio?
We maintain a low camper-to-instructor ratio to ensure that each camper receives personalized attention and quality instruction. Our staff is experienced, enthusiastic, and dedicated to helping each camper grow and succeed. Our ratios may vary slightly from week to week but generally range from 5:1 to 7:1, allowing us to provide focused instruction and support
Can my child attend multiple weeks of camp?
Yes, we welcome campers who want to attend multiple weeks. Many of our campers return week after week, year after year, and we offer new challenges and skill development each session to keep them engaged.
