What age group is Field of Dreams Baseball Camp for?
Our camps are open to children aged 5-16. We offer programs for all skill levels, from beginners to elite athletes.
Do I need previous baseball experience to attend?
What are the different camp options?
Camp Options:
(1) Classic Camp (ages 5-15, No prior baseball experience required) at our Vaughan/Thornhill, Aurora, Scarborough, Georgina, and Caledon Camps
- After 15 years we have changed/simplifed the name of our camp programs. We are no longer using the “high perormance” and “rookie ball” names. The only change is the name—the camp experience remains exactly what families have loved for 15 years. We’ve simply updated the name to make things clearer and easier for families; same program, same structure, same FOD experience.
Campers will be grouped by age, skill level, and experience: beginner, house league, or rep, to ensure level-appropriate instruction. Rep players will continue training with rep players, beginners will learn alongside beginners, etc.
Skill-building, teamwork, fun games, Wiffle Ball, special events, and all the ‘classic camp’ energy you expect every summer.
- All campers, will enjoy a well-rounded experience with baseball instruction, modified games, weekly skills competitions, and a fun Wiffle Ball League. Each week ends with a special award ceremony celebrating their achievements.
(2) Pro Camp (Advanced Training) At our Aurora and Vaughan/Thornhill Camps
Our Pro Camp is designed for select, rep, and elite players (or those aspiring to be) who want to train at an intensive level. The Pro camp, as the name suggests will be run by former professional, semi-pro and high level college players. We’ve recruited Jaz Shergill in Aurora and Gianfranco Morello in Vaughan, who have both played college and professional baseball all over the world.
We have integrated our Pro Camp as a stream of our main/classic camp. Campers enrolled will be able to attend Pro Camp in the mornings for an intense training session with the highest quality instruction, and then join in with our classic camp in the afternoon! This way kids can still bond with their favourite counsellors, stay connected with their friends, and don’t have to miss out on any of the summer fun (aka Wiffle Ball!!). A half day option is also available for those who just want the specialized training in the morning.
To train like a pro, you have to learn from a pro!
At Field of Dreams, our goal is to create a positive and fun environment where players develop not only their physical skills but also teamwork, sportsmanship, and a lifelong love for the game!

Do you offer programs specifically for girls?
Yes! We now offer girls-only softball and fastpitch programs as well as girls only baseball camps, including clinics, training sessions, and full-week summer camps. These programs are designed to empower female athletes, build confidence, and provide skill development in a fun, supportive environment.
What is the difference between the softball camp and the baseball Classic Camp?
Our Softball Camp follows the same proven structure that has made our Classic Baseball Camp successful for 15+ years — but with drills, instruction, and gameplay tailored specifically for fastpitch athletes. Everything is adapted for softball mechanics, rules, and development needs.
Do girls need previous softball or baseball experience to join?
No experience is required! Girls of all levels are welcome — from first-timers to rep/competitive players. We group players by skill level, and our staff adjusts instruction to meet each athlete’s skill level and ensure every camper learns, grows, and feels confident.
My daughter plays rep fastpitch. Will the program challenge her enough?
Yes. Our coaching staff includes instructors with competitive fastpitch and baseball experience, ensuring that rep-level players receive advanced training. Groups are divided by age and skill so players train with peers who match their level.
Can my daughter join baseball camp instead of softball camp?
Absolutely! Girls are always welcome to register for any of our baseball camps or programs. The girls-only softball programs simply provide an extra option for girls and families who want a female-focused environment.
Will boys and girls be mixed in the softball camps or clinics?
Our softball camps and softball clinics are girls-only. Girls are welcome to join our co-ed baseball programs if they prefer a mixed environment.
