Jaz Shergill

Jaz comes with a very impressive baseball playing and coaching resume. He grew up playing in the Vaughan Vikings organization, before going to Eastern New Mexico University as a pitcher. He is a former IBL (Intercounty Baseball League) pitcher and Champion, as well as a CAN-AM professional league player. Jaz also played professional baseball Europe and Australia, for the Brisbane Bandits and Sydney Blue Sox, as well as the Dohren Wild Farmers.

2021 – Starting pitcher for Dohren Wild farmers in German Bundesliga.
2019 – Pitcher of the year for Thornhill Red in GTBL Senior league with a 2.45 ERA.
2018 – IBL champion with Barrie baycats
2017 –  Relief pitcher for Quebec Capitales in the CANAM league (professional league)
2016 – IBL champion with Barrie baycats
2014-15 — AllStar pitcher in Australian baseball league (ABL – professional league)
-Starting pitcher Sydney Blue Sox & Brisbane bandits
2010-13 – Starting pitcher for Eastern New Mexico University

 

Jaz also has a very decorated coaching resume starting back in 2013, giving back to the community in Australia where he was playing professionally. From 2016-2018 Jaz was a full-time volunteer for a South African Charity called Play Sport 4 Life, where he spent nearly everday teaching baseball to children from underprivileged communities. In 2018 Jaz started his own non-profit organization called Every Child Deserves a Chance (ECDC), that is dedicated to providing baseball opportunities to children in Uganda. In 2018 he was the full-time manager of the Vaughan Sports Centre (VSC) baseball facility and taught itching to hundreds of youth in the vaughan area and GTA. Jaz is the owner and head instructor of “The Bullpen” indoor baseball academy in Aurora.
